Dear friends,

Welcome to our web page which was created by the volunteer firefighter Filippopoulos Nickos.The truth is that during the first fires that we fought or the first shifts that we manned we were not even called "volunteers".

We were just residents of a beautiful region full of green forests and each day we woke up breathing the unique scent of pines. Our chilhood was filled by games in the forest. Even our first love was under those trees. We couldn't ignore the burning of these forests.

Our first touch with organised volunteerism was when we, the residents of this region, patrolled the forests during the summertime of ' 97 with amateur radios.

Since then many things changed in our team but also in ourselves. The only thing that remained the same was the eagerness and love for our aim: To preserve as much forest as we can and to help our fellow citizents when in need.
